Holton, Kansas – Holton Community Hospital is proud to announce that Kristi Roush, Senior Director of Ancillary Services, has been recognized by the Kansas Hospital Association (KHA) as the 2025 Advocacy All-Star MVP during KHA Advocacy Day on January 22, 2026, in Topeka, Kansas.
The KHA Advocacy All-Star program is designed to strengthen hospital advocacy across the state by preparing leaders to engage effectively with policymakers and advance legislation that supports Kansas hospitals and rural communities. While all participants receive a Certificate of Completion, the All-Star MVP distinction highlights standout individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership and measurable impact. Roush was honored during the ceremony and featured as the program’s 2025-2026 Advocacy All-Star.
Kristi Roush provides leadership across multiple ancillary service lines at Holton Community Hospital, including Radiology, Laboratory, Rehabilitation Services, Nutritional Services, and Registration. Her work has improved patient experience, enhanced operational performance, and supported new strategies to combat burnout and strengthen work-life balance for healthcare professionals.
In addition to this recognition, Roush was previously selected as one of the Kansas Hospital Association’s Health Care Workers of the Year, a distinction awarded to only a select group of healthcare leaders statewide. Her continued
advocacy ensures that the needs of rural patients and providers remain central in statewide policy discussions.
“Kristi’s dedication to advocacy and her unwavering commitment to improving patient care make her an extraordinary leader,” said Carrie Lutz, CEO of Holton Community Hospital. “She represents the best of rural healthcare—resilient, innovative, and deeply focused on the people we serve.”
Roush’s advocacy leadership supports Holton Community Hospital’s mission of delivering professionalism, compassion, and excellence in healthcare for Jackson County and surrounding communities.
