Cardiac Rehabilitation

We provide full Cardiac Rehabilitation Services that include an individualized treatment plan developed and monitored in conjunction with the Physician and Registered Nurses. The program focuses on exercise and education regarding your heart condition including risk factor management to improve your quality of life and ability to manage your heart condition. Services are offered Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays each week. Patients eligible for the program may be recovering from a recent:

Heart Attack
Coronary Balloon angioplasty or stent
Heart Surgery, including coronary artery bypass surgery or heart valve surgery
Heart Failure 

Cardiac Rehabilitation requires a referral from your physician. Talk to your doctor to find out if Cardiac Rehabilitation is right for you. Your insurance may pay for all or part of this therapy. We can assist you in verifying your coverage.

Supervised Exercise Therapy “SET”

We provide a Supervised Exercise Therapy Program or “SET” Program for individuals that have “claudication” or leg pain symptoms due to peripheral vascular disease in their legs.  This service is covered for Medicare patients who meet the requirements.  If you have leg pain that limits your ability to walk, please talk with your medical provider or cardiologist to see if the SET program is right for you.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Certified Chronic Lung Disease (COPD) treatment center, recognized by both the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC) and the American Association of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).

Our program offers:

  • Monitored and supervised exercise
  • Medication education, including understanding oxygen therapy
  • Diet, nutrition and weight management information
  • Strategies to help you manage your lung condition
  • Techniques to reduce and control your breathing difficulties

Pulmonary rehabilitation provides many benefits, including:

  • Increase your ability to exercise
  • Reduce and control breathing difficulties
  • Learn about your disease and how you can help manage your disease
  • Improve your ability to function better in your daily life

  • Nuclear Medicine Stress TestingPulmonary Fit Testing at HCH Cardiovascular Services.
  • Holter monitoring and analysis
  • EKG’s
  • Complete Pulmonary or Lung Function Testing used to help diagnose conditions like:
      • Asthma
      • COPD like emphysema
      • Interstitial Lung Disease

Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs)

Are noninvasive tests that assess lung functionality. These tests measure lung volume, capacity, rates of flow, and gas exchange to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating lung disorders. 

PFTs evaluate various lung capacities, including tidal volume, minute volume, vital capacity, functional residual capacity, residual volume, total lung capacity, forced vital capacity, forced expiratory volume, forced expiratory flow, and peak expiratory flow rate. The results from these tests are compared to standard values based on age, height, sex, as well as any previous test results.

Exercise Wellness Program

In addition we have a Wellness Exercise Program that is supervised by Registered Nurses and available on a self-pay basis. Services are offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week.

Our self-pay Wellness Exercise Program is designed to help you stay active supporting healthier sleep patterns and effective weight management. By combining regular exercise with better eating habits, you can lower cholesterol, improve blood sugar control and maintain healthy blood pressure. Join us to enhance your overall well-being!
